How to study your vocabulary

  • Make your own vocabulary list, This will help you to keep the words you've already seen and saved in order to not forget it later. aking those words down on the sheet, Maybe writing on sheet paper will help you a lot in remembering but instead you can use some webpages like Quizlet where you can't just list the words but you can play with them having fun and can study other people's  vocabulary.

  • Play vocabulary games; On internet you'll find  a lot of these games where you can interact with and have fun.

  • Most vocabulary words are learned from context. The more words you're exposed to, the better vocabulary you will have.
While you read, pay close attention to words you don't know. First, try to figure out their meanings from context. Then look the words up. Read and listen to challenging material so that you'll be exposed to many new words.

  • Get used to looking up words you don't know:  Sometimes we find that even not contextualizing the words we can't associate a meaning to it. The nest option we can choose is looking uo those words but not in any kind of dictionary. I advice you to look for  the words in a contextualizing way in webpages such as Context Reverso, Macmillan Dictionary,Oxford Dictionary and Cambridge Dictionary, In the next post is coming i'm going to explain how to use them (Advantages and Desadvantages )and why I use them.
